How to get involved?
Firstly, take a good look over this evolving site. You'll find details of what you can get out of being part of the Band Quest Platform or part of Band Quest – Cutting Edge (See below for more details on which section you fit into).
Secondly, put the opportunities into context, this isn't just a battle of the bands. This is about capturing the bands potential throughout the year to come, awarding bands for their efforts in as many different ways as we can find. We have many services which range from free to inexpensive and all are there to maximise band promotion.
Next, decide if you want more gigs, different places to play and more people to see you perform. You don't have to take part in every part of band quest, but you will be offered Free Advertising, Inclusion to a professionally released CD, The chance to play at various festival ranging from local to national. It's all CV building stuff at the very least.
And the Logic, The more the bands promote the shows the more people will come to them and the more we can commit to. We are trying to make every show THE BEST gig possible but its attendance that makes it all work. We can keep bringing costs down if the events are given centre stage, you support Band Quest and Band Quest Supports you.

- Alta-scope: Magazine/Program featuring ALL bands who submit their details (Alta-Scope Summer 2009 Magazine)
- Profiling: You'll be added to our extensive database and promoted to UK promoters
- Filming: Shows can be filed and professionally edited for DVD production
- Live Sound Recordings: Where technology allows live recording will be made of each show
- Photography: Quality sets will be made available through our 3rd party photographers
- Discounts: Merchandise deals and replications deals will be negotiated on bands behalf
- Cheap entry: band Members will get discounted entry to all shows
We have put together and extensive period of promotional activity and it's not just a gigs you'll get. We have looked closely at what other promoters and competition gigs offer and we are keen to offer more. The gig in itself is a Showcase to us, you can still impress with every performance and this is regardless of the outcome of a result. We can help position you at festivals and we'll be offering you contacts and ways of getting to other high profile shows.
It's impossible to give all bands everything they want but we can deliver a high proportion of it. With bands support the weight of our cause to add opportunity to the bands increases.
What do I need to do to enter?
It's pretty simple, below are the 3 areas of Band Quest for you to consider. The application form allows you to make comments and notes to us about any questions and concerns you may have. By following these easy steps below your band will come through to us and we'll be right back in touch with further details.
Bands must have all members over the age of 16 years at the start of the heats. All bands must be able to play a heats between 1st Feb and By April 5th 2010 over a 9 week period.
Step 1: Got to the application form and complete here: www.bandquestuk.com/apply
Step 2: Pay your deposit of £10 per band member either through PayPal (Preferred) or Cash to us in person, ensure you pay info@bandquestuk.com when using Paypal.
Step 3: Send ALL and ANY useful information to us to help us promote your band during the course of Band Quest, including Band Photo, Logo and send Hard Copy of any recordings you wish us to DJ and Review to the address on our contact us page below. Please don't send us MP3's.
Step 4: Select 2 dates in order of priority as soon as you are made aware (this will happen around end of December and you will be emailed dates before needing to decide)
Step 5: Play your hearts out at the show you choose and further opportunities will be offered!
The boxes below show which area of Band Quest will suit your band. Please look over the options and indicate when applying which area you feel you are best placed into.
If your band plays heavy music and you feel would benefit from having the opportunity to play Bloodstock Open Air festival or other Heavy music Festivals such as Hard Rock Hell then this is the section for you. We include, Metal, Hard Rock, Edgy Rock in this field.
If your band plays music not as heavy as Metal or Hard Rock then this section is for you. We are looking for but not limited to Emo, Indie, Acoustic, Rock, Alternative and Blues based bands. All other festivals we work with will be shown these bands in both Slots awarded and showcases made.
Please look at the Cutting Edge Page for further details, this section is for bands that are deemed at a professional level and criteria must be met. We will only select a small selection of bands to work with us in this section. We would like all bands to have played in Band Quest to establish a relationship with our team first.
