Our Charter

We are keen to work with all types of bands but we have a few things we like bands to consider (kind of a code of conduct/charter type thing) if you will...

  1. We prefer not booking bands that gig every week in the same town, so would rather book into a calendar gap than 'just another show added'. We ask that each show and those who deliver effort gain respect for that. Only ask for shows you can give your all to.
  2. We encourage equipment share/borrow and ask bands to get in touch with each other, it's always best to plan a night to start early but delay it if less equipment changes allow a shorter gap between bands.Inner Fire - photo by Martin Hobby Photography at Bloodstock
  3. We'll always ask bands to sell tickets in adv (not pay in adv) but try and nurse a few people with an incentive driven adv ticket for e.g. gigs that are £4 or £5 entry bands keep £2 per sale if sold before the day of gig, but only £1 on the door and only after 10 people have been accredited to the band in question.
  4. We need all members emails and mobiles as we don't like waiting for bands to get back to us - we book between 15 and 50 acts a week and don't have time to wait for the collective of answers we require. Spam and Junk setting means not everyone will get them so it's essential we have everyone's. We are open and honest and we are always more concerned by bands who don't feel they can divulge such info.
  5. Bands need to be able to read!! lol (that's the important bit) we don't have time to field everyone's questions that have already been answered through website and emails. Please be sure you have checked your junk/spam folders and made our email non-junk/white listed so to keep fully updated.
  6. Bands members must add themselves to the FB group as directed to ensure all members have no excuses for missing the info and invites required for our gigs.
  7. All bands MUST use email to contact us in all correspondence - see contact page for more details
  8. Tickets when provided must not be advertised at less than face value, however we only ever ask you to settle up the amount we agree to so what the actual price you sell to friends, family and fans is up to you, it's a way of YOU deciding IF you wish to A) Make some money from sales, B) Make your own reduced entry list C) reward people you feel should not pay. We do not operate guests lists, people are either working or playing for Unified Sounds on the night EVERYONE else is being entertained.
  9. It is deemed appropriate that bands stay for the duration of the evening in support of the other bands playing on the bill at each event. Understanding what each band is about is a key part to building a more promising local scene. Offering thanks for everyone's attendance is a good thing.
  10. Communication must be maintained by bands, failure to answer direct contacts could result in bands being dropped from the gigs. Bands must understand the complexity of the number of people (600+) and bands (150+) we are dealing with and must comply with simple rules of communication.

NB: Always state which band you are in when making contact.
